Walking with EPIKS

There’s nothing like getting out for a walk in nature.

Just being outside in a natural environment is great for our wellbeing and walking/ wheeling are easy ways to get more active and keep fit. Walking with a group is a great chance to spend time connecting with some like-minded people and learn new things. And for the team at EPIKS, walking with you is a very welcome opportunity to meet you, our lovely supporters!

Every year we look forward to planning and delivering some walks led by our team and sometimes some special guests like Paul Andrews from Butterfly Conservation (pictured).

On our Eventbrite page you can see what we have coming up and book yourself in.

If you’d like to see what we got up to on previous walks, take a look at this news item from 2024

Of course EPIKS are not the only people organising walks in Kirklees, but it can be tricky to find out what’s going on. To help you find more opportunities for walking we’re busy gathering details of walking groups and other walking resources on our Walk Wheel Ride online hub

You can also check out our walking maps page and, if you’re in Huddersfield, why not take a stroll in Huddersfield Riverside Nature Park– it’s right on your doorstep!
