The Holme Valley has it’s very own electric assisted cargo bike. The Holme Deliveries cargo bike is battery assisted and can tackle the hills and narrow lanes of the Holme Valley without causing pollution and damage to roads. Transport accounts for over a third of our carbon emissions, so we’re showcasing a real, eye-catching alternative cars and vans. The bike is stored at the Holme Valley Community Active Travel Hub, next to the public toilets and bus station.
Kim Warren, project coordinator said, ‘We’re looking for people who would like to ride our e-cargo bike around the Holme Valley and collect and deliver goods from local shops or the Holmfirth Market. We hope that by using Holme Deliveries we will generate new ideas to boost local business, cut pollution and make us more self-sufficient in the Holme Valley.’
To become an e-cargo bike volunteer rider on Thursday or Saturday, mornings email or phone 07915 892 582.
